Oh no, porting it would be easy. The backlash they would face from PS4/One users for the game looking like crap next to Unity on the other hand...

Ubisoft knows that the vast majority of PS4/One user own a 360/PS3/PC anyway, so it's not like they think they will lose sales by releasing it on current-gen. It's more the public outcry they don't want to face.

You mean the same backlash they got because AC4 looked like crap on next gen?
