A lot of people are really hating on the new Assassins' Creed games because Ubisoft is releasing 2 of them, one exclusive for each gen. I've noticed that a lot of the same people are ardent suporters of remasters like TLOU:R. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to criticize Ubisoft in this case?
I am not saying that the TLOU:R was a bad idea or a cash-grab. I actually like the game. I'm just pointing out that a lot of people are saying that Assassin's Creed Rogue is a cash-grab, saying that it is so because it's being uneccessarily released on a previous generation, making it a cash-grab with Ubisoft just afraid to lose some profit from old-gen customers.
I don't get this mentality when some of the same people praise TLOU:R. TLOU:R was released on a new generation so people that didn't have access to the original could play it. Rogue is being released so people who don't yet have new consoles have a chance to play AC without having the main game gimped due to it being cross-gen. In a way, it's the same concept. Giving more people access to a series.
I'm really just confused about this mentality. Once again, I'm not hating on TLOU:R, I actually believe that the game is amazing, I just don't get how people can sing its glory and then turn around and bash Ubisoft for the new Assassins' Creed games.
