You're basically telling him to accept that he's wrong, despite you saying that no one can tell him such a thing

Because favorite game =/= best game. You can enjoy an awful game, much like you can enjoy an awful movie.

 

It is different to enjoy an awful game and have a favourite game.

Dead Rising is one of my favourite games ever, but some people just hate it. I don't consider Dead Rising awful, I consider it a masterpiece.

On the other hand, Nier is a mediocre experience with mediocre RPG elements, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
