I'm still expecting Smash Bros to get a last minute delay to 2015, if that happens then XBO will definitely pass WiiU this year.

I know Nintendo is known for delays but thats just rediculous, what would they have for the holidays? Hyrule Warriors & Bayonetta 2 release in Aug-Oct so not really holiday titles, that would pretty much leave Caption Toad which is already delayed in Europe so no big holiday title there. Nintendo knows they need Smash this holiday, Mario Kart & E3 has increased Wii U sales and public interest, they cant just let the little momentum they have now disappear and delaying Smash would do exactly that.

Well they obviously wouldn't do it on purpose, but if the game isn't ready there isn't much they can do about it.

No Nintendo is going to release Smash this holiday at all costs, even if it means its not quite as complete as they would like it just like they did with Mario Kart 7 for holiday 2011. The delay of the 3DS version was likely so they could focus on the Wii U version more and make sure its ready.

Nintendo will not and can not let Smash Bros U get delayed.
