Zombie U was praised for the twist it gave the fps genre but nothing revolutionary. While pikmin bought a new way how the wii u gamepad can be used it was riddled with problems. This is like saying every game in the wii's first year was revolutionary because it had gameplay modes unknown to console gaming when you can easily see that most were unresponsive and had problems therefore never being able to reach the status of a true next gen game. |
I would argue there are plenty of revolutionary things that don't get proper praise, but to each their own.
