The funny thing is, this is essentially the exact reason I stopped buying games for the XB360 I bought in 2007 and instead bought them for the gaming PC I built in 2008.

When I look at the handful of XB360 games I bought over seven years, almost all of them (and there aren't many) represent the few games that remained XB360 exclusives.

With Kinect more or less out of the picture until some developer makes something truly magical for it, I have no reason to even think about buying an XBO other than for Halo and Gears of War; not enough to warrant having a giant sized XBO console on my entertainment shelf. Since I'm not going to subscribe to XBL Gold for a few games, I'm left with very little reason to ever buy one.
