Ive been reading alot of things lately like OMG WiiU>XB1 WW weekly, Destiny is the next big thing and PS4 is God but what i havent been seeing is anything concerning about the recent announcement that capcom is releasing a remake of a remake early next year being resident evil R from the GC which was a remake of 1996s sony exclusive resident evil.  Here in lies the first problem this game is based on the GC version that is 10yrs old and the original game mechanics and design are 15yrs old.

Im not gonna lie im a fan of the RE franchise and its movies but i dont about you go back and play RE:R on your Wiis and GCs it hasnt aged well, the game has numerous designs flaws frustrating tank like controls, limited saves, low ammo, and disorienting fixed camera angles some of these flaws were to keep the player in constant feel of panic since there were very limited if doing it in other way due to console power.  Since then these things have been refined out of the game dev process there have been many horror games that where able to capture the fear while making the gamplay fun like Dead Space, RE4, Alan Wake, Condemned, TLOU and most recently Outlast

As of now idk what capcom is trying to do here? most of the gaming world was anticipating RE7 news this yr and we get a GC HD port? After RE5 and 6 it was evedent that changes needed to be made this was a perfect opportunity to reboot the franchise start over RE1 remade in 3D environment with new gameplay, story and even characters.  From the recent announcement it appears that REHDR is a visaul update with a few unknown tweaks of the GC version, and that aint gonna fly the general audience of 2015 isnt going to get REHDR and i dont blame them.
