The show is on the disc unlocking as you play. You dont have to watch the show but it goes deeper into the experience. The game shows the hero side, the show shows the villain side.

Ah so it's a specific sequence of live action cut scenes you unlock depending on the choices you make.
Could be amusing, could also be a big waste of resources.
