i wouldnt have expected that. i guess indies are making all the difference in this comparison, right? thats one huge difference between the beginning of this gen, and the beginning of last gen, right?

Maybe. There's a few 360 games in the list of 2005-2006 titles that I simply don't remember anything about. I know Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Hexic HD (which got a 79, so it wasn't part of the earlier count), and Uno were all download-only, though the 360 did have a lot of other downloadable games on XBLA (sort that list by date), so a good chunk of the 360's early library may have been those kind of games. A large portion of the PS4's current library is indeed indies, and over half of the PS4's games that have a Meta average of 80+ are indies or download-only. Of course, indies are as legit as any other game. No, they're not a substitute for retail-released AAA games, but a game's a game, and a good game's a good game. I really enjoyed Resogun and Flower, I'm looking forward to Mighty No. 9, and I thought Mega Man 9 was one of the best games of last generation. 2014 may be a bit dry on the retail front, but historically speaking it's not terrible, and a lot of it has to do with delays. Still, there's pleny of good games coming in the next five months, and the first quarter of 2015 looks to be huge. A year from know I'll probably have more eighth-gen games than I know what to do with (like literally; I'm about to need new shelves).

yeah i think, if i remember correctly, i have 25 8th gen games. (24 wii u, 1 x1, i dont have a ps4 yet lol) thats not including the 3ds and vita.

but anyway.. i guess in that case..

(i wonder if anybody has written that in their own thread before?)
