Yes, that was the real point of the OP. My mistake really, as I always fall for the part where I assume people will read the OP before commenting. I also agree with your reasoning to a point. I will say, that if a majority of the multiplats going forward have very minimal differences, even the "buy it on PS4 anyway" really won't matter. It seems that in reality, while playing these games, that most people would not be able to perceive the differences. Yes, they are more obvious when looking at screenshots or the comparison videos. But, if you are playing the game, they are truely imperceptible. Sure, there were a couple of games at launch that were way more obvious due to the much larger gap. But, that seems to be dissipating on the multi plats. Time will tell of course. |
Again, it doesn't matter how little the difference is.... If that is the only thing left to sway you either way then it would make absolutely no sense choosing the one that is minimally worse. It's like saying that hey, I can direct deposit $60 into your account right now, or I can deposit $61, your choice. Is that $1 going to make a difference in your life? Probably not. If someone was subjectively looking at your life, would they notice the difference in your choices because you got that extra $1? Again, probably not. But still if you had the choice, and the only difference is that one will give you that extra dollar, then, there is no reason to choose the $60 deposit.
You are basically saying that since the extra $1 isn't really that much in the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter, and it really shouldn't sway your opinion either way. That makes no sense at all.
