Don't know if I'd say Halo has the bigger brand name (especially outside of the US), but I can see this being a win for Smash. It's a brand new game in a new gen and the most recent title(s) in both franchises put Smash ahead (though with their userbases being much closer this time - Halo could still achieve the win). I just don't think The MCC sell as much as some believe. Even with what you say Ben said, he can only speak for one retailer and can't know every single one of those shop's numbers.

That considered, we'll also have to see how the WiiU hold s up against the X1. If it continues to stay ahead, it may be even harder for it to top Smash, but then, Smash will also be available on the 3DS, which will certainly eat into WiiU sales. Very much a wait-and-see game right now.

Ben has info on many gamestops not just one. I look forward to seeing the sales of both games
