I would buy the "inferior" (900p instead of 1080p example) version of the game if it were on the console where all of my friends bought it. Not everyone has every console, and not everything is about framerate or resolution. Those two items generally being the disparities this gen.

Why? If you wanna play with your friends play co-op games with them on the same couch, that's a much better and enjoyable way, secondly if one can't buy both consoles then buy one with the best multiplats and exclusives, and finally I do agree that framerate and resolution are not everything that's why I would always choose a ps3 over Xbox 360 even though the xbox 360 had the much better multiplats.
