You are probably seeing such vehement defense because never has a game and its existance been so attacked before, most of the 'defense' that I've seen has evolved around the fact it is just a game and why should people complain about a highly rated game being ported across to PS4 so that more people can enjoy it? I've never seen such a degree of entitlement from so many people who think they should be able to decide what games should exist or otherwise, people saying "this game is a cash grab and shouldn't exist" rather than just saying "I don't think its value for money so I won't buy it".
OT, 69k is great sales for the UK and I can see TLOU:R doing an easy 1.5 million. The bit I've even more excited about is seeing the experience ND have gotten from porting TLOU:R to the PS4 in the quality and polish of UC4. The jump in graphics from UC1 to UC2 was quite noticeable, and hopefully they've gained a similar amount of experience on PS4 from doing TLOU:R to have the same effect with UC4.
