The Gamecube may have been a ugly piece of sh*t that looked like a fisherprice toy box, but the name sounded really neat and worked well with the console.
The Playstation2 may just have been the previous gen's name with a number, and today this may seem worthy to roll eyes over, we all know that if their is a 9th and 10th gen it will be called PS5 and PS6 and no one will go batshit crazy over the name, but PS2 was the first one to do it, plain and simply add a number. Simple and effective and because it's the first one to have ever done it deserves some pat on the back.
Xbox, the name has nothing to do with gaming unlike GAMEcube and PLAYstation, but sounds still today very cool and hip.
Dreamcast, same as xbox, very cool and... dreamy? lol
