Maybe not until now, but Ken Levine has stated in many interviews that he felt the future of gaming was on Phones/Tablets (maybe with some output on tv for some)... the reason for this is the sheer number of tablets/phones out there, and the iOS ones are pretty well equipped to play games, pretty soon they will be somewhere between the PS360 and the xb1 in therms of power.
Now, I think tablets will plateau in their current use pattern, I can't do most of my work on one, at least not in a productive way and I certainly don't want to game on one when I have a couple of consoles and a PC.
