NEVER! Physical media now! Physical media forever! I don't like digital, I don't trust digital to last, and I don't like the fact that I don't own a digital copy and thus cannot exercise my First-sale rights. If there's a physical version, I'll get it even if I have to pay extra. If gaming ever goes all digital, well, the industry can no longer expect my support. I'm a stubborn "old" man stuck in his ways. Books, CDs, Blu-rays, and game discs/cartridges are the way to go for me. |
I'm a simple man, I'll take the more convinent option each time. Don't have to worry about scratches on digital games, you can have them stored on the console to play whenever you want, and you can have a copy on multiple systems. Also digital sales are amazing.
Also, I've never had a license taken away. And you don't own the game when you buy physical either. Just the disc it is stored on. Ever read the EULA for just about any game? You can easily have your right to play the game taken away.
It doesn't happen, but it almost never happens with digital either
