They don't, Sven when as Capcom said there is nothing stopping them porting the games, they just haven't (probably because would require lots of work, since the backgrounds cannot be expanded to widescreen like games using 3D environments.

Huh well there you go, didn't know that. But still, I find it odd that they'd release wii verisons with black borders to maintain the aspect and not simply do the same for the ps360...
