OmegaForce (the devs) has a strange relationship with online co-op. I don't know if DW8 has online co-op but I remember DW didn't have, and even the dynasty warriors next ( on vita) had only co-op in "special" missions that were boring as hell.
So yeah, this is not a surprise coming from them -.-
Either way, I like more local co-op than online co-op but thats just me
