You know the OP is right when all you hear is "b-b-b-but PS now!"

Yeah it's a ridiculous comparison anyway.

- PS Now does NOT require a console. The cloud-gaming/Gaikai purpose was initially an attempt to compensate for the lack of Backwards-Compatibility. When you're renting a game, you're basically renting a console alongside it.

- PS Now is a live game streaming service. It goes without saying.. this costs extra money.

- PS Now is on beta phase. Sony said it loud and clear that they're considering a subscription-based service. "We’ve heard you loud and clear for an update on a PS Now subscription option and want to reassure you that we are working on it"

- Sony has NO CONTROL whatsoever over third party content! The service isn't exclusive to their own games like EA Access is to EA. Third party publishers are still unsure whether this will be a success.

Some people will of course continue to ignore all of that.

Do you even realize how much you're ignoring?

1: Sure, but if you plan on renting multiple games and using the service often, the price of buying a console along with the games would be comparable except for the fact you actually get to KEEP everything when you buy it.

2: Fair enough, but 4.99 for a 4 hour rental? No thanks especially when you can buy some

of the games near that price.

3: Also fair, but the term "beta" now a days is being thrown left and right. Technically, the system is in beta, but its

not a beta when publicly released. If it is, Sony's making you pay extreme prices for a product that's not yet finished. Don't use the excuse "Oh Sony will make the prices cheaper." I'm sure they will, but shouldn't Sony have already pushed for the cheapest prices possible? If Sony really wasn't in it for a good profit, wouldn't those prices have started off in closed beta?

4: When buying Access, if you don't know it's exclusive to EA then you have problems. The thing with Access is $5 a MONTH for unlimited access to the current vault of games. Even if it's one game, it will almost always be worth it.

Now please stop bowing down to Sony like they are a king
