As far as your link goes, companies lie about stuff like that all the time. My theory is that they had two plans going in. 1) with DRM 2) without DRM. Jack Tretton made those statements earlier to make Sony seem innocent if they decided to go with the non-DRM route. Basically they were playing both sides. My opinion on this isn't even Sony-hate as you would put it, it's just my skeptical nature. Companies do this kind of thing all the time. It's only good business practice to do it.

So you should ask for all people with above 2 years on the site and more than 1k posts to leave here... and the mods as well... anyone not interested in using VGC numbers in their favour knows that they get adjusted pretty much all week now because of imprecision... in May X1 was overtacked almost 50% and PSVita undertracked like 500%... so yes, for LTD the site is reliable (but even so they had to add 1M to X360 numbers to match latest shipping figures)... and in Germany VGC is 1M overtracking X360 and 300k PS3.
But if you want to take VGC numbers as gospel your choice, but just go look for the corrections made before you put to much faith on it.
So your answer to my post showing that they alread had said they wouldn't put DRM (instead of your weak point that they removed it because of MS flack, that you base on a rumour of a interview that don't have a link) is that they were doing it anyway... so no amount of proof would suffice...

What you don't seem to understand is that it's a theory. I'm not stating facts here. I am drawing conclusions from facts. Your problem seems to be that you think I'm stating things I know for a fact. I don't know any of this, however this is a thread for discussing possibilities, not slapping eachother on the back agreeing with eachother.
My original post was that Microsoft and Sony could reciprocate fans better than Sony could. That isn't a fact its a conclusion I drew from everything that's happened until now. The Last of Us Remastered, Sony's Money problems. etc
Your counters were to villify Microsoft, which I didn't agree with. I think all three of them are just as greedy as the other. You seem to have Sony on a pedastal of omnipotance and they couldn't possibly lie about anything....

A conspiracy theory you mean. If you wanted to say "it's possible that Sony looked at it but didn't implement" I wouldn't discus... but you are pretty bent on believing that even if data proves that there was no real data on them putting DRM but there is data for not putting it you choose to be certain "in theory" that they done it.
I villified MS? I just asked you to prove MS and/or Ninty put gamers money to better use than Sony. And your first point was pretty bashfull on Sony, and that isn't uphold in VGC for any platform.
All company are after money, that much is certain. And I don't have Sony on a pedastal, but false conjecture doesn't have my approval side to them.
