I don't see PSNow either succeeding or failing. I see it just existing as an addition to the PSN store.
Although it's a streaming service, most similar to Netflix, it is not a single service requiring major investment. It is an add-on service requiring a medium investment, so for it to exist it doesn't need to attract huge subscription base.
It will work on dual payment basis, with most dedicated gamers, who already own a PS+ subscribing, and casuals, especially once it is available on more devices, paying a few bucks occasionally.
It is not something that will enrich Sony, nor something that will break them if it doesn't take off. It will always be there, on the store as an option.
