Why not have both options?  Mario Kart does (online and/or local multi, I am aware MK doesn't have a "co-op" mode).

This is Wii U we are talking about, us Wii U fans are never allowed the full package :) (im still buying Hyrule warriors though, as i prefer local co-op, especially each player having their own screen)
