There is a difference between pre render cutscenes that are in-engine (like naughty dog games on PS3) and in-game cutscenes like this one is (according to ND). Meaning that the character model wont change during a cutscene or gameplay, it will look exactly the same. Naughty Dog already achieved this on TLOU:R where character models look exactly the same during gameplay as they do during a cutscene |
I did not insult you. you probably are a teenager (which is not an insult anyway. be happy that you are young). Arguing with you makes little sense nonetheless. You don´t even know the basics of level of detail. Even the in-game character model is never the same but changes when being farther away from the camera. and with changing i don´t only mean the poly-model, but also textures and to some degree even model-illumination (for example disabling subsurface-scattering effects).
the character model shown in the UC4 trailer has certenly > 1 mil polys. probably even > 5 mil. if you believe your in-game player model will have anything > 1 mil polys you will certenly be disappointed.
nonetheless the game is probably going to look great anyway. just don´t be brainwashed that easily by pr-bullshit ok.
