Fixed :-p after all non-patriotism should work equally in all console maker's favour since there's no chinese console maker to compete against. So it's not a + uniquely in Xb one's favour. What could work in MS favour is residual cultural antagonism towards Japan for historical colonialism and oppression of China by Japan, including as recently as World War II.

I don't think they would/will express that sentiment towards Japanese entertainment boxes.

Possibly not. But I wonder if anyone has actually done an analysis of Japanese products vs other to see if there is any cultural bias against Japanese products in China.
