I'm not saying that mobile will be the end all future, at least not as we know it, I'm saying that as mobile games become more complex they'll create an even more favorable environment for general gaming, not just mobile, in the social sphere.
The mobile craze is catching on when console gaming has hit the peak of the AAA era. With the way game engines have spread, a small group of professionals could splinter off of a larger, possibly collapsing, AAA developer and immediately start working on the type of games popular on mobile.
