I don't fall into the category of gamers Colin is referring to (I don't think so anyway), but I do hate most indie (independent of a publisher) games. It is my opinion that 95% of indie games are terrible pieces of junk that overcrowd Steam and the Apple Store to the point that good indie games get overlooked or unfairly branded as trash. I own many indie games myself, but I had to wade through a sea of often broken mediocrity to get to the gems.
TL:DR - I like the good indie games, but most indie games suck.
