It'll effect certain games more than others. Plus, look at EA games with the exception of biowares and most of them are either annually released sports games which people won't want to wait for or games known for their multiplayer like titanfall and battlefield which people also won't want to wait for because by then the population will have died down and generally you want to play these games as soon as possible. However it does seem like some of these games will be available at launch on ea access which might impact retail quite a bit.
