Your thesis is on point, but its base is flawed. With better more accurate info (even though you point out that your numbers weren't accurate) you probably wouldn't have said what you said to begin with.

  • WiiU core config: 320 shader cores(SC)/16 texture mapping units(TMU)/ 8 Render output units(ROP) Perf: 352 GFlops
  • XB1 core config: 768 SC/48 TMU/ 16 ROP Perf: 1310 GFlops
  • PS4 core config: 1152 SC/72 TMU/32 ROP Perf: 1843 GFlops

And that is just looking at the GPUs. Not the CPUs or the amount of RAM and/or their bandwidth. This is why I find it funny when i see people mention the wiiU. There is a reason why they always take an artistic/cartoony approach to game design.

You are dead right about everything else though.

The base was suppose to be flawed silly. I'm way too lazy to look up specs. I'm still waiting on someone to break NDA regarding the real specs. :P

Was trying to explain things in as simple a manner as possible for the "oh, I get it now" reply lol. Anyways the reason they take the artsy/cartoony approach is mainly their characters. I don't think Mario  and luigi fits in that great in the real world
