Great post, Lulz. As someone who has had a vita since launch and has gamed on it for thousands of hours so far, I can easily say that it's easily the best gaming purchase I've ever made.

Why is it doing so bad? It's been discussed to death and it seems that there's no agreement between fans, non fans, and people who don't know much about it. In my opinion, it's:

1. Everything the psp did that was new and awesome for casuals, smartphones and tablets can do too
2. The psp didn't end up on a high note. People who had one didn't wanna buy a psv and get burnt again
->3. The 3ds price cut destroyed the psv. I lost count of how many times I saw people posting online "I'll wait for the inevitable price cut before buying a psv". The price cut didn't come when it was expected and people lost ineterest in it.
4. Doom started to hurt potential owners' interests and unlike Ninty, Sony did nothing to quickly fix the problem with a price cut, better bundles etc
5. Online negativity affected almost everyone. Reviewers hated psv games for being psv games (lower scores than they deserved), the psv became the butt of a joke and no one wanted to give it a try. Then people started the whole "psv has no games" which affects people more than they think. People who actually gave the handheld a chance and didn't bother with online (mostly ignorant) comments ended up loving the system.

It's been over a year that it's reached a point of no return. No matter what game is released on it, people won't give it a chance. It's sort of the same with the wiiu, which will sell a few million thanks to strong support from Ninty but it won't do well no matter what because people have already made a decision in their minds to not give it a chance.
