The reason this is different from PSNow is that Sony is trying to make a service in which they have to heavily deal with lots of 3rd parties on how the pricing model should work which will affect the prices that they can set. EA has no rival with this new service as its 100% their own and they don't need to compete or give lots of licensing fees.

So...we're not supposed to compare two basically digital video game rental services, but comparing Netflix (streaming) to EA (non-streaming) is somehow legit?  Maybe I'm taking this as personally directed towards me, but I said very little about PS Now vs EA's concept here, other than to say it would provide Sony with a better concept of how to price their service.  I don't see why that's out of bounds.

I meant it more in terms of yes its not fair to compare the pricing models.

PSNow Sony is dealing with many different 3rd parties on how the streaming will work, what they want to price their games at, what other companies are pricing their titles at, they are providing the streaming so have additional costs there as well.

EA Access is litteraly just EA offering a Sub to download games / DLC from MS's Marketplace for cheaper pricing / early access. There is very very little cost to them and they have no rivals in their own service to try to gauge their pricing on. MS also is taking very little cost as they already have these games / DLC on their Marketplace.

Its a very different situation, though I am sympathetic to the idea that PSNow pricing is FAR too high.
