Not sure putting VR as the means to sell the camera is a good thing.  Are you people saying you will have to pay for another device that will be just as expensive as the console, then have to drop another 50 bucks or more for the PS camera and this will sell to consumers in mass amount.  Personally I highly doubt that the VR will push the camera sells more than a blip.  If anything is going to sell either camera it will be either games or features designed to use the camera beyound nitch.  Currently twitch streaming is not one of them.

I'd expect a couple of flavours in Morpheus.  One without a camera, for those who already own one and a more expensive one with it.  There are new things for the camera for free every couple of months, but they are extremely shallow.  We have no way of really predicting how well VR will take off, even though it is extremely good, I'm not sure it is good enough to warrant a same again price tag as the PS4.  But either way every game that comes out for Morpheus will really be a support for the camera, so that is a positive.

Kinect was a lost cause because most games that came out for XB1 started on the 360 and were swapped mid development.  Then except for a very small number of games like kinect sports, there was nothing of note.  The Ryse Kinect bits were extremely awkward and better using a controller.  Then we have things like the dance games and Fantasia, which have been left high and dry.  If we had seen proper backing and things like MCC, Sunset overdrive and Forsa Horizon 2 embrace Kinect controll in every way maybe things would be different.  As it is now, once the last Titanfall bundles are sold on, I wouldn't be suprised to see Kinect drop below a 1 in a thousand attach rate for new buyers.
