I know several people who never wanted to use any line of credit and now that they are in there twenties and thirties they can't get approved for a new car or home even though they have good jobs because they have no credit history. Very true, but there are still ways to get a house without using credit cards to build your credit. I currently own a house in Florida and initially had issues with getting a loan due to do never using credit cards or having a credit history, I was still able to get the loan though. 4 yrs into my mortgage plan, I owe less than 20k on the house and will have it paid off by next year. Any extra cash I make I pay towards the house, I plan on buying another in the next 2-3 years.
