The article is terrible. From the outset the author makes clear their twisted view by stating that those that are not liberated about sex have some sort of issue that makes them closed off, such as trauma. People are entitled to different views and someone can have a problem with explicit sex without having the cause be trauma. You could argue that those who are free and open about sex is also due to trauma such as rape or molestation in their youth.
But fundamentally I don't think there is a big issue with sex in games. Many games have it. The only time there has been outrage is when it has been hidden, such as in GTA. Parents have a right (an obligation?!?) to sensor their children from explicit adult content, and when content is slipped past sensors it can lead to anger. Not that kids should be playing GTA anyway, of course.
