I'm impressed by how many people seem to like this game and yet thought Halo was meh. Odd that.

This game is sooo like Halo in some respects. I don't think it is as good but it sure feels just like playing Halo occasionally, especially when the music kicks in and the fighting gets a little more frantic.

A bit of honesty from both "sides" wouldn't go amiss for a change.

It isn't better than Halo, it isn't necessarily worse than Halo, its just different.

I fail to see how you can love Destiny and think Halo is poor, or love Halo and think Destiny is poor.

To conclude, it isn't a Halo killer (nothing can be) but it will probably kill off other franchises.

I like Destiny (what I've seen so far) much more than Halo. The main reason is that RPG element, the second is the exploration. I've played Halo 3 and Reach, and made it to about halfway both times before I got bored and quit.

Destiny offers much more diversity than Halo or other similar shooters (Crysis, CoD, BF, Homefront...) which differ only in the setting and enemy skins, while pushing you along a straight line to point B. I liken Destiny much more to Borderlands, which I enjoyed immensely, and is one of my favorite games (part 2 not as much).

Only Borderlands had more humor and a fantastic cast of supporting characters, this is just a bit too robotic and too serious for my taste.
