I always like to read what the mainstream or non gaming press has to say about a game because I think it is a better indication of how successful or ill recieved a game will be by the mainstream (which whether core gamers like it or not determine whether or not a game is a success or not, at least thats the case for AAA games, smaller budget games can survive on core gamers, see Dark Souls)
The articles I have a read from non-gaming sites have been ridiculously positive. I posted one example. Feel free to add others.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
