What exactly is Destiny doing (besides shitty unbalanced PvP) that doesn't already exist in Borderlands? I guess it is certainly ambitious in terms of marketing investment. Gameplay wise it certainly doesn't seem so. It's nice that you were so blown away by the beta, I certainly dug some elements of it myself. |
The PvP did not feel unbalanced to me. I keep here people say that, I did not see it. OCCASIONALLY the vehicles would get out of hand on the Moon(they already said they were adjusting that), but other than that I played as a Titan and while I did not tear up I held my own (1.0 to 1.2 K/D)
So to your question.
PvE- My brothers and I spend hours straight this weekend doing co-op was so fun, at once people we ran around killing stuff and doing quest in EX mode for over an hour straight before we went back to the tower to check out all of our Engrams. The gunplay is spot on and while soloing is fun, co-op is epic. The strike mission took the cake, about a 20-30 min mission where were coordinated to make things easier (I played Titan, and one brother played Hunter and other Warlock) I took out the trash my Hunter brother Sniped the harder enemys and my warlock brother kept me from getting overwelmed. Honestly it made feel like we were all back in our parents living room back in the day playing a game together.
PvP- We played 5 matches or so and were getting really frustrated because we were getting shredded, then it just clicked, all 3 of us stayed over 1.0 for the next 20 matches we played in a row (one brother is just good he was around 2.0 ALOT). I never really liked domination or control zones on other FPS games but had a blast in this one (more of a Deathmatch guy)
