The thing to remember about game prices is that that money doesn't make its way to the developer in whole or, sometimes, even in part.
If your primary thought is "Developers make great games. Adjusted game prices have gone down. I want to support these great games" then your thought shouldn't be paying more at the store. You're just supporting a holding or publishing company at that point. You should be looking at ways to support the developers themselves and the best way to do that currently is by crowdfunding games that sound cool to you like Mighty No. 9 or Skullgirls.
