For me it is not so much the games becoming realistic, but the fact every gen we getting closer to a PC but the system is too closed.

I would be very happy if I could managed my updates/patches and back them up as I see fit. i.e. last night Wolfenstein on PS4 decided to get a 5gb update. Now it be great if I could back that file up somewhere (IF THERE IS SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE). Especially now that you need to install the full game to play it so 500gb space seems useless if I can't manage the additional files that gamers require these days.

Now people will say yo can get them again, but what about after the gen ends? I am mainly a retro game but also play new games. I would love the PS3/PS4 your xboxes to become retro machines in the future but to me it feels like once the gen ends the online service for that device shuts down eventually and no more patches.
