Niche games generally have low metacritics, AC has a die hard fanbase and since I started with For Answer I've loved the series

OT: From was AA, then

Demon and Dark Souls its now AAA, low end AAA but AAA.

Not true. Niche games can have a small market. Niche applies to the smaller market the game is targeting, not the quality. Sony believed the series was going to be niche so only published it as such, but it blew up into something greater than Sony had thought possible.

Bold: I agree and I think that was one of the reasons From made Dark Souls a multiplat, maybe because Sony didn't believe Demon's would have such great reception. So From knew they were going to be big in Dark and went for it on their own.

One thing many fans including me thought that both Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 lacked some key elements that made Demon's so good, such as a darker story, darker enviroments and a more punch-in-the-stomach approach. Also graphically many thought Dark series were downgraded from Demon's visuals. I still think it's true, Demon's is still my favorite looking Souls so far, both in atmosphere and image fidelity (such as framrate).

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...
