An iPad does more than a video game ever will, coffee keeps a lot of people going in the morning and - excuse us for wanting to fucking FEED ourselves, Apple.
It's a video game, it's entertainment. If it isn't worth 4 bucks then it just isn't. (Tbh iPad's aren't worth $600 but I digress.)

Don't really agree with this. Sure the games are usually a bit of a rip off but the examples are valid. Is coffee really worth that much? Can't people make their own for a fraction of that price? Same with lunch, do people need to buy lunch at a restaurant or something? Couldn't they just take a home made sandwich with them that would cost a fraction of the price?

They're consumables. You can choose to to buy it yourself for less but have to do the work yourself. Or, have the work taken out and pay the convience fee. It's a matter of spending your time or your money.
