The story to X has some of the biggest plot holes you can imagine. The story is crap - terrible writing and pacing. The entire game's story wants to be about Tidus but is clearly about Yuna. Rikku started the "playable for fan service only" trend in Final Fantasy. She has zero impact on the story. Did I mention the story is rubbish?
Are you seriously going to say the Sphere Grid is a good leveling system? It's one of the worst in FF history, right behind FFXIII's. It's overly complicated and time consuming beyond it's worth.
To be fair the battle system gets credit, it is good. Personally I don't remember a single track from X. But everything else - annoying and unlikable characters, horrible character design and weapons, TIDUS and those fucking temples with the obnoxious, monotonous "puzzles" - is complete and total garbage.
