But the thing is that the original Wind Waker is practically unplayable compared to the HD version!

Really? Because, I just played it a few days ago and it played just fine. I may even beat the game again :)

It isn't unplayable until you actually play the HD version. I can't really describe why.

Try playing it on a CRT tv. That makes all the difference in the world. 

It isn't really the graphical difference, though (Heck, I can play OOT 64 even after playing 3D multiple times), It's the gameplay!
