I echo sentiments on FF7. It is a great game that I can go back to and replay from time to time, but it has been way over-hyped and over-nostagisized (is that even a word?).
I would also add Oblivion was a little lackluster and I think over-rated for me just because the main story was so forgettable (stuff like the Dark Brotherhood was infinitely more interesting).
Other over-rated games for me are Mass Effects 2 & 3, FFX, and Chrono Cross.
Chrono Trigger itself to me get's its flaws over looked a lot as well.
