I think the biggest appeal of the gamepad for me is that you don't have to play on the television always. I can lay on my back and play games, like a handheld. However, I think strategy based games like Pikmin 3 gain the largest advantage, and Nintendo should really capitalize on this. Possibly release a new Battalion Wars game with an AA budget, a new Wii U Fire Emblem, and/or a possibly an Advanced Wars console game. The best functionality of the Wii Mote was its IR and to me the best functionality of the Wii U is its touch screen tablet controls.
