No as I don't like running around hacking and slashing over and over again

You act like most Zelda combat isn't "run up to mob and press A until dead."

It looks like any enemy that requires more effort in LoZ also requires similar strategy in Hyrule Warriors.

that's because it's not

I wouldn't expect a comment like that to come from a person who has played Zelda before

I know right what the fuck kind of bullshit comment was that. Of course there are the easy enemies in Zelda, but not all of them are like that and that's not all the games are anyways. I don't recall pulverizing hundreds of mindless enemies at a time in any zelda game, but hey what the fuck right?

Show me a game where the basic Zelda fodder is noticeably more than get close and press A. Gonna guess most of them are just that.

Any enemy that requires more strategy in LoZ requires the same strategy in HW it seems. So once you look past the Warriors aesthetic, the core is pretty much exactly the same. Of course I'm sure somewill think there's a lot of difference between mashing A 3 times vs mashing A 10 times, while killing 2 mobs vs killing 20 mobs. It's the same result just scaled up.

The setting is an actual battlefield, so it makes since for there to be tons of fodder running around as well.
