Don't really see a problem with this. It's a given that running a game on 60 fps is more intensive than running the game on 30 fps. It's also a given that there are people who prefer 30 fps over 60 fps (I think they're wrong, but nevertheless, they do exist). ND managed to satisfy consumers of both worlds. You want 1080p @ 60fps without framerate drops? You got it. Don't like 60 fps and prefer to play it the "way it was"? Here's an option to lock it at 30 fps. On top of that, you get prettier shadows as a bonus
