I am asking whether VGChartz members would support me not just to get views, but because we are rational people who can carry out a discussion without someone calling anyone a social reject.

Problem with that is that Youtube as whole is a horrible place to have a good discussion, way too many kids and just people that know they can say anything they want without ever facing consequences, it's like these comment sections bring the worst out in people.
I get what you want to do, but I honestly feel it would be futile, if you want to make a Youtube channel about gaming then more power to you, just don't try to interact with that group of youtubers, it's a road that leads nowhere.
