Sony will do that once they reach a new milestone number. So I'd say expect a 10 million units sold-to-consumer figure announcement from Sony in the near future.

All Sony numbers are shipped.  When they gave the last milestone figure and said sold to consumer there financial report for several weeks later had a shipment figure with the same number.

Well, up to March 31st, PS4 was being sold out in pretty much everywhere, so even if what you're saying was true, those shipped numbers would be almost equal to their sales up to that point.

In any case though, your statement doesn't hold any truth as Sony combines PSVita and PSP together, alongside PS3 and PS4 together in their quartetly and yearly financial result statements. Would love if you could backup your claim though.
