im playing 7 days to die atm, a nice okay looking indie game that combines zombie with minecraft and it works, its realy fun, and it was a 12€ game...

There are "indie" games on PC with better graphics than all games made for the previous generation of consoles lol

Not to mention many of these sidescrollers aren't even the equivalent of "playing SNES" games at all. I sure as hell never played games like The Swapper, Risk of rain or Rogue legacy back in the day. One might assume they did if they only look at screenshots but if they actually bothered to play them they'd realize what a ridiculous baseless assumption they are making.
