I don't know why people are so bothered with the updates. They have a right to be, of course, but it is so minuscule that in the time you talk about them, they can be downloaded and installed. Not to mention that PS consoles have a feature in which you can let the machine download it while you are not playing (no idea about the others, but I guess it is similar). The update may come while you are playing of course, but the chances are slim.
I remember the Wii U launch, everyone was complaining about the day one update for days, yet all it took was like 5 hours if I remember correctly. 5 hours of waiting for a device you'll be using for the next five years.
